The main size of the bearing refers to the inner diameter (d), outer diameter (D), width (B) or height (H) and chamfer size (r) of the bearing indicating the outline of the bearing, which is the necessary size when the bearing is installed into the shaft and housing hole. For the main dimensions of bearings, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has formulated unified international standards (ISO15, ISO355, ISO104) in order to ensure international interchangeability and economy in production, respectively on the main dimensions of radial bearings, tapered roller bearings, thrust bearings have made corresponding provisions. That is, the bearing's inner diameter, outer diameter, width and chamfer size are serialized and standardized.

Our standard is also equivalent to adopt the provisions of ISO standard, the corresponding standard models are GB/T 273.3, GB/T 273.1, GB/T 273.2, the assembly chamfering standard is GB/T 274.

The main dimensions of the rolling bearing, the listed inner diameter and diameter series, the width series (or height series) of various combination forms. Diameter series refers to a series of outer diameter dimensions corresponding to the inner diameter of the same bearing, with 7, 8, 9, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and other outer diameter dimensions increasing successively. Width series refers to the width size series corresponding to the same bearing diameter series, which respectively have 8, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and other width sizes increasing in turn.

The height series of thrust bearings corresponds to the width series of centripetal bearings, and there are four height series with increasing height size of 7, 9, 1 and 2.

For metric tapered roller bearings, ISO355 specifies that relative to the standard inner diameter of the diameter series are expressed in A, B, C, D, E, F, G, the outer diameter increases in turn, width size is expressed in A, B, C, D, E, increase in turn, in addition to the contact Angle series (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) contact Angle increases in turn; The diameter series and width series specified by our country standard are 0, 1, 2, 3.
